Venom: Let There Be Carnage hits rare pandemic box office milestone

After several changes to the release date, Venom Sony Pictures: Let there be a theater massacre on October 1 in the US. Unlike some other companies, Sony Pictures chose to release the movie hit Marvel on a digital platform, instead of choosing to exclusively record movies in theaters regardless of the ongoing pandemic.

The decision to release Venom 2 exclusively in theaters has proven successful for Sony. According to the deadline, the 2018 Venom film sequel has exceeded $ 200 million in the domestic box office, reaching a pandemic milestone who had just been achieved by Disney’s Shangi-chi.

Sony initially planned to release a new Venom movie in theaters in mid-September, then crashed the date until the end of the week until the end of September, once again until mid-October. Most theaters in the US have reopened for business now that the Covid-19 vaccine is available and many people have been fully vaccinated against the virus.
