Rand Paul is an American politician and is currently serving as a senator from Kentucky.
Childhood
Rand Paul was born on January 7, 1963 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His father Ron Paul was also a senator and ran three times for the President of the United States. He grew up on Lake Jackson, Texas. Rand attended Brazoswood Middle School, where he was in a swimming team and soccer.
College
Paul spent four years in Baylor University but did not pass. On the other hand, it enrolled in the Duke University School of Medicine in 1984, which does not require a masters diploma at that time. He graduated in 1988 and completed his residency program in 1993.
Professional Career
Paul moved to Bowling Green in Kentucky as soon as he completed his residency and began working as an ophthalmologist in MCPeak’s vision centers.
He lived there for six years, before transferring to Graves Gilbert Clinic.
After ten years there, he opened his own practice. He has two legal demands of malpractice, in 1993 and in 2010. The first was dismissed, while others were resolved for $ 50,000.
Politics
Paul is often involved with his father’s campaign, spends summer as a volunteer. Paul senior was chosen to the US House of Representatives when the 13-year-old Rand.

Instead, he focused on his campaign for re-election in the Senate. His opponent is Jim Gray, Mayor of Lexington. Paul won with 57.3% of the vote.
