Pixel 6 Pro teardowns reveal Google’s big step in the right direction

Google clearly seems to have hit gold again with Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, giving or taking some problems with the fingerprint sensor which hopefully can be repaired by simple software updates. However, under all glamor, however, is a cellphone that seems as unique, fortunately in a very good way. The initial Teardown of Pixel 6 revealed one thing Google has done, at least for the repair technician, but it seems to still fall a few short steps in making pixels 6 One of the easiest phones to repair it is not fairphone.

There are two parts of the cellphone that see the most wear and carry the risk of the greatest damage. Three if you count the back glass that can be easily covered by the skin or case if you can’t fix it. Between the screen and charging port, the display may be a more important part, especially if the cellphone supports wireless charging as a backup. Fortunately, it’s also where Google seems to have scored the biggest points in terms of improvement.

Jerryrigeverything praising the 6 Pro pixels may be one of the easiest to replace accidentally modular. What it takes a little heat and cuts the adhesive to divorce the display panel from the entire cellphone. The display ribbon cable is rather complicated if you don’t know where it is, but a simple metal bracket is all that makes Lego-style connector hidden from the display.

Ifixit also praised Google about the use of clips to hold the display in places besides glue. This explains that this will allow users or technicians to cut the screen back in place without having to replace the adhesive, even though at the expense of waterproofing. There is also the discovery of official tools available to the public to recalibrate the new screen and its fingerprint sensor, considers replacement is an authentic component in the first place.

Unfortunately, it’s not all roses and sunlight when it comes to repairing Pixel 6 Pro, and Google does have some step errors, even if they have the best intention behind them. The strange battery pull tab, for example, may be the leaner part of the phone that doesn’t seem to do anything but give false hope. Black graphite stickers also inhibit the removal of easy components, while the soldered USB-C port will make the component replacement very difficult.

Overall, Google must have gone out of its way to make replacing the 6 pixel screen, even if it might not intend to support third-party repair service industries. Hopefully, it will continue on this positive path, but given the record of Google’s footprint, anything can happen at this time.
